Partnership with the Arab Foundations Forum

Global Thinkers Forum (GTF), is a dedicated advocate of values-based and accountable leadership. In 2016 we partnered with the Arab Foundations Forum and conducted a customised training for King Khaled Foundation on Values-Based Leadership and Strategic Philanthropy.

Serving as a capacity building module for AFF's members, GTF's workshop showcased how values-based decision-making and leadership can result into more effective programs/initiatives of strategic philanthropy, in order to help the wider Arab region - and especially the grant foundation who can afford to donate funds to good causes- understand the value and importance of doing so. GTF sees a need to shift mentality and embed strategic philanthropy into organisations' and individuals' cultures. Ultimately, this shift dives into a broader opportunity for said beneficiaries to become more aware and updated, ultimately proving the direct link between effective strategic philanthropy and a positive impact on their bottom line.

King Khalid Foundation is a national Royal foundation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aimed at providing grants and funding for training and capacity building programs for the nonprofit sector; awarding grants for community development projects; conducting and publishing research; providing emergency relief services; and awarding the King Khalid Award to individuals, nonprofit organizations and corporations that demonstrate outstanding achievement in the areas of social and economic development.
