Pamela Atukundire

Uganda

Pamela Atukundire is a Ugandan aged 24 years who resides in Busega Kampala-Uganda. She was born in Ntungamo District located in the Western region of Uganda.

Pamela is an E-Learning support officer for the MasterCard Foundation Scholar’s Program E-Learning Initiative at Makerere University. She does support subject matter experts to develop and incorporate multimedia content, organizing trainings and tutorial sessions. She also supports learners to access and utilize online content like learning materials and to mention but a few. She is a translator of manuals, books, videos plus any material from and to English, Kiswahili, Luganda, Runyankore-Rukiga.

Pamela holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts with Education of Makerere University graduate class of 2021, a certificate of guidance and counselling from Makerere University School of Education and a certificate in International Computer driving License (ICDL) from Makerere University, College of Computing and information Science.

She offers progressive transformative technical experience in developing and managing Instructional aids for learners, teaching, leadership, Coordination, Communication, Monitoring and Evaluation. Pamela has experience in value-based capacity building of team members. She also deals in the production of white meat, white meat value chain and she has attained this knowledge when she worked with Guide Leisure farm and she was assigned a Village Entrepreneurship Learning Association(VELA) which she transformed into a Parish Entrepreneurship Learning Association(PELA).

Pamela is a professional teacher of Kiswahili and History whose passion lies in Inclusive Educational Technology. She wishes to see technology being used in teaching and learning of languages and all other disciplines. With Technology, people can access information in any part of the world. This should be applied in teaching and learning too; like developing instructional materials, uploading of content to internet where learners can access it using any browser and at their convenience. For inclusion, both learners from the financially stable and humble backgrounds, those with disabilities like visually impaired, deaf, lame etc. and those without disabilities, should access same content, same materials with ease. Her values are empathy, discipline, Respect and Quality Education.

In her free time, she likes spending time with family, watching movies, soccer, reading and watching inspirational documentaries and listening to music (gospel and Inspirational).
