Opeyemi Adepoju lives and works in Lagos, Nigeria as a Project Officer which has enabled her to develop a keen interest in Data Analysis.
Her first degree is in Food Science from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso, Nigeria where she graduated with second class upper division. Prior to this, Opeyemi worked in Sales and she has recently written a qualifying exam to hold a second degree in Business Administration from the University of Lagos.
Her service (volunteer) year took her to northern Nigeria where she served as a school teacher in Government Girls day Secondary School, Dirin-Daji, Kebbi State. In this role, she volunteered to serve on a Polio vaccination programme for children below the age of 5 years. The exercise entailed visiting homes in these northern Nigerian communities where low childhood vaccine uptake is common to ensure children within this age group were vaccinated. This experience exposed her to the impact of chronic underdevelopment on health and related outcomes in children and the need for a change.
