Mapaseka has a BA in social work, she is passionate about humanitarian service, community development, mental and emotional health. She currently works at Sentebale charity organization as a social worker leading a team of 5 case management workers. She is passionate as well about youth development and engagement, women empowerment and leadership and working with children.
Mapaseka is a 2020 ambassador for the World Literacy Foundation. Alumni at the learnaholics academy Africa for Women in Leadership course. She is currently a Kectil (Knowles Charitable Trust for International Leadership) colleague, which is a leadership program for talented youth in developing countries around the globe. She is a 2nd SAYof SADC disability committee member.
She is also currently a participant in the 2nd edition of the 2063 academy in the gender equality category and a mentee at leap girl Africa. She is an advocate for human welfare and a voice of the marginalized and vulnerable groups in society ensuring that their needs are met. This happens through liaising with policymakers and by referrals through linking people with resources and organizations that can respond better to their needs.
