Sarah Kola is a Master of Pharmacy candidate within the Wits Advanced Drug Delivery Platform research unit at the University of the Witwatersrand. She holds a bachelors with honours degree in pharmacy, from the same university. Sarah has qualifications in advanced first aid, antimicrobial stewardship, and computer literacy.
She has worked at governmental hospital pharmacies, and with many non-profit organisations in an attempt to give back to society, as she believes in the importance of uplifting weaker members of the community. Sarah is a member of the Golden Key International Honours Society, and the Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa.
Sarah is the recipient of the Masters Innovation Scholarship from the National Research Foundation of South Africa. She has been awarded with the Brian Seymour Award for 2018, which is the most prestigious award for a pharmacy student in South Africa. The attributes sought after in the selected winner, are academic excellence, leadership qualities and a keen interest in, and enthusiasm for the pharmacy profession.
Sarah is currently researching novel mechanisms of drug delivery. Sarah Kola lives in Johannesburg, South Africa.
