Kevin is a passionate wildlife biologist, certified Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit Expert, tour operator, and Climate Change Mitigation Specialist. Kevin has three years experience in civic education and youth capacity building on environmental conservation and climate change mitigation. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Conservation and Enterprise Management from Egerton University.

While volunteering as the Program coordinator at Amani Kibera, a community-based organization that focuses on peace and conflict resolution through active non-violence and education, he co-founded Wild World Expeditions. Wild World Expeditions is a youth-led initiative that provides hopes to change perceptions and enhance environmental conservation through advocacy and provision of sustainable and innovative ecotourism and farming models. In February 2018, he was selected as a program ambassador for CoalitionWILD, to champion the voice of youth in conservation. He is also a member of the Environmental Awareness Youth Committee of the East African Natural History Society. Kevin has been invited in many conservation forums and was part of the ACOY 2017 delegation that formulated a policy paper representing the voice of African youth on environmental conservation, and the COP 14 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt 2018. In 2017, Kevin was elected as the East African regional representative and Kenyan national chapter coordinator of the Global Youth Biodiversity Network. In 2015, he was awarded as the Male Environmentalist of the Year, Community Service Category. Besides, Kevin is an environmental conservation writer at https://kelvinswildchronicles.wordpress.com/, a blog he started to boldly discuss prevailing conservation issues such as climate change and seek views on how to find respective effective remedies. The blog was nominated for an award as one ofthe best environmental blogs in Kenya, under the BAKe awards 2018. He is currently working on a joint series of environmental blogs to be published by WILD VOICES, to highlight youth-led environmental initiatives and challenges in Africa ahead of the 2020 target by Convention for Biological Diversity (Aichi targets).
