Lucian Sarb serves as the Editorial Director and Member of the Board of the global news channel, Euronews. Since 2009 Lucian has been in charge with the editorial strategy of the most viewed news broadcaster in Europe, a multiplex of 24-hour news with 450 journalists from more than 35 different nationalities.

Over the last five years, Lucian Sarb, together with his editorial team, launched five new euronews channels: Euronews Turkish, Euronews Farsi, Euronews Ukrainian, Euronews Greek and Euronews Hungarian. Before Euronews, Lucian Sarb, served as Project Manager and Editorial Director of one of the first business news channels in Eastern Europe, based in Bucharest, Romania.
Prior to this function, he was Head of News at Romania’s public state television, TVR, where he completely re-branded news programmes, the editorial concepts and the budgets. In 2005, he was in charge of the world politics magazine broadcast live every Saturday on TVR1. In parallel to these duties, Lucian Sarb was a member of the Executive Committee Newsgroup of the EBU (European Broadcasting Union).
Following his studies in Communication and International Relations and Politics, Lucian Sârb decided to start a career as a journalist, becoming a news correspondent for Romanian Public Station in 1994. His assignments took him around the world, including the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
