Associate, Communications & International Stakeholder Engagement
Caterina is collaborating with Global Thinkers Forum & Global Thinkers Mentors as Communications & International Stakeholder Engagement Associate.
Part-Italian and part-Lebanese, Caterina grew up rolling spaghetti with one hand and biting off kebab skewers with the other! Growing up she was immersed in the fullness of the Mediterranean heritage. She grew up in Rome and then moved on to living in Beirut and later to Boston for her undergraduate studies at Boston University in Business and Journalism. Upon graduation, she moved to New York and worked in the field of women’s empowerment, first at Ellevate and then at UN Women. In both instances, she collaborated in handling communication tasks and website management duties.
After a year of traineeship, Caterina resumed her studies and moved back to Beirut to pursue a masters in History and International Relations over a period of two years. She spent her second year in Paris at SciencesPo writing her thesis on Historical Journalism in Lebanon and finishing her journalism practicum at L’Orient-Le Jour, a pillar of Lebanese press. She has been blessed to have travelled extensively around the world and to keep on cultivating this passion through a number of writing seminars, journalism festivals and research initiatives with universities in Beirut and Rome. After a number of years bouncing around, she is now back in Rome rediscovering the wonders of her hometown.
