Precious Nemutenzi was born and raised in Mutare, Zimbabwe. She is a 21-years-old a young woman who strives to empower women, especially other young women. She is a MasterCard Foundation Scholar at EARTH University where she is pursuing a career in Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Management.
She upholds values of environmental sustainability and she is passionate about agriculture, environmental issues and creative writing.
Precious is dedicated to ending hunger and poverty in both rural and urban areas of Zimbabwe and Africa at large through entrepreneurship and improvement of the agricultural industry. She believes that women especially must be at the forefront of driving agricultural development in Africa and therefore must be educated and given the necessary resources to achieve this goal.
Precious is consumed with the restoration of dignity for girls across the world especially rural school girls in Zimbabwe. She trains and mentors these girls with life skills and entrepreneurship. Precious is doing an initiative called My inner Confidence (MiC), where she addresses adolescent sexual reproductive health especially menstrual hygiene management for rural school girls. She is also the co-founder of Smart Villages, a mobile phone application to connect smallholder farmers in Zimbabwe with other value chain actors in the agricultural industry.
